More training colleges needed: ANC

According to the ruling party’s Naledi Pandor, the NEC for Education and Health in an article on News 24 on the 14th of May 2017; focus on opening training colleges for budding farmers, nurses and teachers is desperately needed.

We couldn’t agree more, the bright future we all hope to leave the younger generation lies in the hands of ensuring we have sound education facilities available.

Thankfully, the various SETAs are well prepared to assist in preparing and assisting Training Providers in getting training facilities off the ground.

Without food our nation will be in serious trouble, AgriSETA offers FREE material for Training Providers and are a quality SETA in providing all this field requires training the farmers of the future.  All that is required of Training Providers, is that they ensure that they have the resources to roll out the training to their learners.

The Health and Welfare SETA are known for quality education, training and skills development required in the health, social development and veterinary sectors to ensure that we offer all people quality nursing care. Furthermore, they too have various FREE material for Training Providers.  Important criteria for Training Providers to be aware of however is that the Training Provider’s Director is required to hold a qualification at a higher level than that which they wish to train.

The value of our future teachers is measureless, the Education, Training and Development SETA is mandated to promote and facilitate the delivery of education, training and development. Providers wishing to make their mark in the training of future educators ought to visit the ETDPSeta website to explore the programmes that involve educating teachers at various levels.
